Carol Ann Cole

is a best-selling author, a professional speaker and the founder of a national fund-raiser – the Comfort Heart Initiative.


With presentations that speak to the balance we all seek between work and home life Carol Ann addresses change, teamwork, leadership, communication, humour, giving back, writing, career/lifestyle and how to stay motivated in all that you do. She is as comfortable with executives as she is with the first person of contact in any company.


Carol Ann has battled and beaten breast cancer twice and is comfortable addressing the lessons cancer has taught her upon request. 


The author of four non-fiction books and one fiction, it’s clear Carol Ann keeps busy with her writing. Comfort Heart, Carol Ann's best-selling memoir, was published in 2001. Lessons Learned Upside the Head followed in 2006 and If I Knew Then What I Know Now in 2009. From the Heart was released in 2013 with net proceeds going to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. Paradise, Carol Ann’s first work of fiction was published in May, 2017 and she is now working on the sequel, Paradise PI. 


Already a Member of the Order of Canada, Carol Ann has received numerous additional awards including; the Queen Elizabeth 11 Silver and Golden Jubilee Medals, the elite Maclean's Honor Role, the Terry Fox Citation of Honor, Bell Canada Heroes Award and L'Oreals dozen outstanding Canadians celebrating International Women's Day. She is profiled in 'Canadian Who's Who' and in the 2005 edition of '1000 Great Women of the 21st Century.'


Volunteer work is important to Carol Ann. As the founder of the Comfort Heart Initiative, Carol Ann has raised well over one million dollars for cancer research through the sale of small pewter hearts.
